There is something distinctively strange about Coraline’s new home…

It’s not the mist, or the cat that always seems to be watching her every move, nor the signs of danger that her new neighbours, Miss Spink and Miss Forcible, supposedly read in her tea leaves.

It’s the other house, the one behind the old door in the drawing room.

Where another mother and father, with the replacement of black-buttons for eyes, and paper like-skin are enticing Coraline into the decision of joining them… And they want her to stay with them, and never leave again.

But she knows if she ventures through that door, she may never be able to come back into the safe hands of reality.
